Sarkodie Beats Stonebwoy & Shatta Wale to Top Boomplay ’s Most Streamed Male Artistes List 2021

Most Streamed Male Artistes on Boomplay in 2021 Revealed.

Boomplay, the musical platform for musicians to monetize their songs through streams and plays have revealed year under review the most streamed Ghanaian artistes.

The digital platform has helped Ghanaian musicians reach a lot of people not only in Ghana but across the globe with song promotions and artistes promotion.

2021 has been an amazing year for some Ghanaian musicians as many songs, albums and Extended Play (EP) were released.

Music is now about numbers as fans of various musicians like to brag about their favourite’s achievement in terms of numbers and reach.

The CEO of Sarkcess Music, Michael Owusu Addo known populary as Sarkodie has been ranked as the most Streamed Ghanaian artiste in 2021.

The “Coachella” hitmaker amassed a total number of 32.8M streams with a total of 2,768,181 listeners and 1, 642,206 hours streamed.

Lynx entertainment signee, Kidi is the third most streamed Ghanaian Male artiste with 15.4M.

The “Touch It” hitmaker also had a total of 1,539,011 listeners and 770,175 hours streamed.

Kidi released his second album “Golden Boy” this year with lead single being ‘Touch It.

Stonebwoy, CEO of Burniton Music group also came fourth with a total of 14.9M streams.
He also had 1,446,426 listeners and clocked 745,567 hours streamed.

The “Ariba” hitmaker began the year as the most streamed Ghanaian artiste on the platform but has lost his position to colleague musician Sarkodie.

The 1Don hitmaker, Shatta Wale is number five (5) as the most streamed Ghanaian artiste in 2021 on Boomplay with a total of 14.1M streams and 1,257,067 listeners and 704,498 hours streamed.

The Shatta Movement president, in 2021 released about 30 songs and has enjoyed massive streams on the platform.

The new sensation and most talked about young musician in Ghana, Black Sherif, is the Second most streams male act in Ghana.

The “Second Sermon” hitmaker had streams of 21.4M and 1,475,385 listeners with a total number of 1,069,066.5 hours streamed.

Black Sherif released “Second Sermon remix” with Grammy award winner Burna Boy just a couple of days ago.

Other male acts who did amazingly well on Boomplay are Kuami Eugene with 8.1M streams, Joe Mettle with 7.4M streams, Mr. Drew who also released his debut album dubbed “Alpha” also had a total of 7.3M streams.

Legacy Life entertainment signee, King Promise who is yet to release his announced second album had 7.2M streams and Akwaboah Jnr who recently released his EP “Lighthouse” also amassed 5M streams.

Boomplay has supported Ghanaian artistes since it came to Ghana and most Ghanaian artistes are enjoying some massive streams on the platform.
