Grammy award winning artiste BurnaBoy hit back at Shatta Wale after the Ghanaian reggae dancehall artiste called Nigerian artistes out for not supporting Ghanaian and other African artistes.
The controversial statement made by Shatta Wale has caused an uproar in the music industry of both Ghana and Nigeria with diverse opinions.
BurnaBoy took to his Instagram page to express his displeasure about the statement made by Shatta Wale, he wrote;
“Dem dey play South African, American and UK music also for GH, but na Nigeria own be issue. Something fishy is smelling”.
The multiple award winning artiste who feels there’s an agenda against Nigeria didn’t hold back his words as he says Shatta Wale can’t cry for help if he has never helped anyone he couldn’t gain from.
“If you never helped anyone that you couldn’t gain from. If you can’t name 1 person that came from under you and didn’t end up your enemy. You can’t cry for help and feel entitled to it”, he said.
He further stated that in 2022, he prays we don’t grow only older but wiser too.
“2022 I pray we not only grow older and fatter. I pray we grow wiser and stronger. May none of us be fools at 40”.
