Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Oxlade has revealed that getting Sarkodie to work on the “Non living thing” song is one of the best career moves he has made.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz fm’s DaybreakHitzShow, the singer recounted that, he was convinced Sarkodie was the perfect fit for the record without a doubt.
According to him, the track was initially meant to be on his project but he later felt Sarkodie was going to do justice to the record so he had to introduced the rapper to it.
“‘Non-Living Thing’ was supposed to be on my project. But I later felt it that it was meant to be for Sarkodie. I introduced the track to him and laid his verse and the rest was history”. He disclosed
The singer described the record as one that was meant for Sarkodie even before the rapper heard the song. The songwriter averred that he had a strong feeling that the song was for Sarkodie and that God only used him as a vessel.
A collaboration he believes has been one of the best moves he has made in his musical career.
“I played the song to him after we did “overdose” and he was we should have the record done. After we shot the video, the next 3months the song became one of the biggest. That’s one of the best moves I have made in my career”. The “Ku lo sa” crooner told Andy in fulfillment with his decision to put Sarkodie on the record.
