Rapper and CEO of Sarkcess Music Michael Owusu Addo known populary as Sarkodie, has disclosed that Ghana Music can invade the UK market when they have a lot of Ghanaian artistes who are A-List.
Question as to when Ghanaian musicians can invade the United Kingdom market with their music has been a topic for years now.
The multiple award winning rapper responding to the question in an interview with Pause Magazine in the UK disclosed, the reason why it has been difficult for Ghanaian artistes to invade the UK market is that, Ghanaian music has to double it’s numbers with regards to A-list artistes.
“The more we have a lot of artists (GH) who are A-list and global, we can have a full concert in the U.K., we can invade. We need a whole team; it has to be a sound invasion. That’s the motive”
Sarkodie who has been under a lot of criticism by some industry players recently also stated that they need to push young talents to the top and the invasion should be a conscious effort.
