The worlds of modelling and reality television collide in a new show called The Model International (TMI), which is set to take the industry by storm. Produced by MF Production in partnership with a prime TV station on DSTV, GOtv, HD+ and MultiTv, TMI will showcase a group of aspiring models as they compete for a coveted modelling contract and a chance to become a household name.
The show will follow the contestants from West Africa as they undergo various challenges and tests designed to test their modelling skills, including photo shoots, runway walks, and commercial auditions. They will be judged by a panel of experts from the fashion industry in Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, who will offer constructive criticism and feedback on their performances.
What sets The Model International apart from other reality TV shows is its focus on churning out a winner whose passion for modelling is at par with her passion for social health interventions. The contestants will not only have to prove their modelling abilities but also their knowledge of the industry and maternal and child mortality issues.
“This is a cause that we are deeply passionate about, and we believe that the winner of The Model International 2023, with her passion, creativity, and determination, has the power to make a real difference in the lives of women and children around Ghana and West Africa.” said the show’s executive producer, Kofi Kpodo.
To contest for The Model International, you must be a West African female living or schooling in Ghana and must be between the ages of 18 and 26. Registration is via www.themodelinternational.com/register-now and audition dates and venues will be announced in due course.
The show will run for 13 episodes, with the winner receiving $2000 cash prize and other impactful prizes.
