Manchester United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana rescues the team with a vital penalty save in the dying minutes of the match to keep the Red Devils in the Uefa Champions League.
Onana’s miraculous intervention became the fate decider of United’s champions league campaign after Mctominay had gone into a tackle in United’s 12yard box which the refree judged as an infringement, hence a call for a spot kick for the opposition side Copenhagen.
For a penalty that many deemed dubious, Onana’s save was crucial for United to be able to secure their first win in the competition.
“I’m just doing my job. We have to keep going like that, never stop”. André Onana after crucial penalty save for Man United to rescue first 3 points.
Harry Maguire’s 72nd goal, coupled with Onana’s incredible save on the 97th minute was enough to keep the hopes of United alive as they lie third in the table of Group A with 3points.
On a regular Manchester United match day, little would you have thought that one of the most vilified duo in Maguire and Onana would be the heroes of the team at the end of 90minutes.
While Onana may be seeking to use this moment to restore some confidence back in the fans on his side, Maguire on the other hand, with a recent run of stellar performances, has placed himself in a justifiable position as far as his inclusion and stay in the team is concerned.
