Kotoko Steal A March On Hearts Of Oak

Sports 513

Asante Kotoko left it late to beat fiercest rivals Hearts of Oak to edge their matchday 6 GPL encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The game seemed destined for a stalemate after talisman Joseph Esso had restored parity for Hearts to cancel a Justice Blay's header from an Augustine Okra freekick had put the porcupines in the front foot early in the first half.

Teen sensation Matthew Anim Cudjoe's shot on goal appeared to have struck Mohammed Alhassan's arm and the referee didn't hesitate to point to the spot. The 90th minute penalty was duly converted by Guinean import Naby Keita, earning Kotoko the spoils from the super clash
