Gyedu Blay Ambolley says “Most Dj’s in Ghana are not schooled”

ShowBiz 101

The Ghanaian veteran High-Life, Funk, Soul, Afrobeat Musician who through Music have lifted the flag of Ghana high across the globe and credited as one of the pioneers or originators of Rap Music in the World has made certain revelations on the CREATIVE INTERACTION WITH THE LEGEND DELA YAW BOTRI (The Flute Magician) .

The Simigwa-Do, Cigarette hit maker who has over 40 albums to his credit, lamented that, the standards are sharply falling and he attributed these shortcomings to a lot of factors. According to him disc jockeys or Djs who carry the message which is the Music to the people need Education or training to be able to deliver. He said ”Most of these young Dj’s are not schooled” they need at least six months of training to qualify as Djs as was the case in the past and so when they come out they will know the direction of the country( I.e where we've come from, where we are now and where we are going) He further opined that the lack education is really causing the Music of Ghanaian Origin to fade out, giving way for the influx of foreign music which is currently dominating our Music Industry and everyone trying to sound like a foreigner when in actual sense all of these genres have their roots from High-Life.

He admitted that the older folks must also be blamed for the share lack of interest in the Education Process. He, therefore, applauded Mr Dela Yaw Botri and the Stardom Africa Team for their great initiative to correct the wrongs in our Musical Space..

The show airs every Tuesday at 5pm on Facebook Live (Dela Yaw Botri page, Stardom Africa Page, Mc Mens page and other guest Personality’s page)
