The Ghana premier league is gradually gathering momentum and fans are excited about what they are witnessing at the moment. Eight(8) out of nine(9) games have been played so far in the match week eight(8), with the game in Accra between the Phobians and the Miners yet to kick off.
This is what transpired in yesterday’s 8 games.
LEGON CITIES FC 1-0 ELMINA SHARKS
Legon Cities FC can now boast 2 wins in the premier league after beating Elmina Sharks by a goal to nil. The first half was a barren 0-0 game. Legon Cities were awarded a penalty on the 89th minute of the game through their continuous pressure in the second half. Abdul Karim Jabila stood up and made justice to the penalty kick.

MEDEAMA 1-0 BECHEM UNITED
The Tarkwa Akoon Park saw Medeama SC playing host to Bechem United. Bechem United gave Medeama a tough hurdle to overcome at the Tarkwa Akoon Park but was heartbroken at the dying embers of the game when Kwasi Donsu hit the ball past Prince Asempa in the Bechem United goal post.

WAFA 0-0 KUMASI ASANTE KOTOKO
The stubborn Academy boys welcomed one of the giants in the premier league in Kumasi Asante Kotoko to their Sogakope Stadium. WAFA came close to breaking the deadlock in the 28th minute of the first half through their captain Ibrahim Abukari. Kotoko came into the game in the second half with two great opportunities but couldn’t find the back of the WAFA goal post. The game ended 0-0

LIBERTY PROFESSIONALS 1-2 DREAMS
Theater of Dreams now being the home venue for Liberty Professionals saw them take on the real owners of the Theater of Dreams(Dawu) when they played home away from home to Dreams FC. Ibrahim Issah opened the scoring in the 30th minute of the game, before Amadu Dantani slotted a ball into the empty nets of Liberty to double Dreams lead in 85th minute. Liberty in 90th minute got a goal to console themselves when Kyei Baffour Elvis stood up to convert a penalty kick for the home side.
ELEVEN WONDERS 0-3 INTER ALLIES
Eleven Wonders were hoping to continue their good run of form at the Nana Ameyaw Park when they face Inter Allies who were yet to pick a point away from home, Victorien Adebayor opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 27th minute. The tally was made 2 by Mohammed Zakari in the 65th minute before Victorien Adebayor made it three in the 83rd minute of the game. Adebayor got his 7th goal of the season.

BEREKUM CHELSEA 1-0 KARELA
Berekum Chelsea bounced back to winning ways after losing their first game of the season to Bechem United last weekend. Zakaria Fuseini scored in the 56th minute of the game after the first half was ended a goalless draw, Berekum Chelsea return to top of the league with the victory against Karela.

EBUSUA DWARFS 3-1 ADUANA STARS
Ebusua Dwarfs defied all odds to beat league leaders Aduana Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium when they trashed them by 3 goals to 1. The 33rd minute of the game saw Micheal Ohene Adjei open the scoring for Ebusua Dwarfs before Seidu Abubakar made it 2 in the 40th minute. Ebusua Dwarfs led by 2 goals to nil at half time, Albert Hammond failed to convert from the spot kick for the home side in the 79th minute. Yahya Mohammed brought Aduana back into the game in the 85th minute through a penalty kick, but Isaac Donkor deepened the woes on the day for the Dormaa based club when he made it 3 for the home side to make sure all 3 points stayed at Cape Coast.

KING FAISAL 3-4 GREAT OLYMPICS
It was a game full of fun and goals(7) at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, the 7 goal thriller becomes the most goals scored in a match day in the ongoing premier league. Emmanuel Clottey in the 26th minute opened the scoring for Olympics through a penalty kick. Again Emmanuel Clottey doubled the lead after the break. King Faisal through Osman Ibrahim got one back from a penalty kick after Kwame Peprah was brought down in the 18yard box. Bannor Patrick was sent off for a rough tackle on Eric Osei minute after their equalizer. Osman Ibrahim was on target again on the 70th minute to make it 2-2 but Yussif Razak restored the lead for Olympics to make it 3-2 in their favor before Baba Yahaya leveled things up to make it all 3. Former TP Mazembe man Gladson Awako scored to put Olympics on the driving seat again and this time, there was no coming back for Alhaji Grusah’s boys as the game ended 4-3 in favor of the Accra based club.
