An Italian football prosecutor has reportedly ruled for Juventus to receive a 15-point deduction for breaching financial regulations.
Fabrizio Romano broke the news on Twitter on Friday night, tweeting: “Serie A’s FIGC Prosecutor has ruled that Juventus will be given a -15 point deduction as result of the “Plusvalenza Case”, the club’s capital gain violations.”
The news comes after reports in recent days have suggested that senior officials within the club could face legal action over deliberate accounting inaccuracies between 2018-2020.
Romano discussed the potential punishments of Fabio Paratici (former chief football officer at Juventus), Andrea Agnelli (former chairman), Maurizio Arrivabene (CEO), Pavel Nedved (director) and one other figure.

“Deduction of 15 points for Juventus, club can still appeal to CONI Guarantee College.
“2.5 years inhibition for Fabio Paratici, 2 years for Agnelli and Arrivabene, 8 months for Nedved, 1.4 years for Cherubini.”
An investigation opened last year had been looking into the club, after suspicions were raised regarding the misrepresentation of its losses throughout the two year period.
But whilst Juventus publicly denied any wrongdoing, the Italian Court has come to a guilty verdict and slapped them with a hefty points deduction
The Old Lady currently occupy third place in the Serie A table, with their tally of 37 points leaving them level with both their Milanese rivals.
It has not been confirmed when the points deduction will come into play at this point.
What if Juventus receive the points deduction this season?
A 15-point deduction would see the Italian giants drop back to 11th place in the league.
They would consequently fall behind Fiorentina and Torino, and find themselves 15 points off the pace in the race for the league’s Champions League spots.
