The French Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Anne Sophie Avé, has stated that it will be difficult for her to mention her favourite Ghanaian artistes without capturing Rap and Hip Hop Lord Sarkodie.
During her first appearance on Uniq FM’s Breakfast Drive, she revealed her admiration for the works of Sarkodie, lavishing him with deserving praise for his ability to permeate international territory despite rapping mostly in his native Twi dialect.
Aside identifying the SarkCess Music President as one her favorite Ghanaian artistes, Madame Anne Sophie Avé also mentioned Shatta Wale, Becca and Manifest.
“Of course, how can I not say Sarkodie?” the French Ambassador to Ghana asked host Juliet Kwakye on Uniq FM’s Breakfast Drive.
“But then I also have to say Shatta Wale… otherwise, I will be in trouble,” she added jokingly.

“What I find fantastic about these musicians is that they have become international but still; someone like Sarkodie sings in Twi.
“So it’s a way of being proud of your local language and still be a success internationally.”
When quizzed about her favorite Ghanaian songs, the French Ambassador to Ghana revealed:
“I quite like ‘Happy Day’ and ‘Adonai’. I also like some of your traditional songs. I like some of your gospel songs.”
