HERBERT MENSAH SHOWS INTEREST IN ASH GOLD SPORTING CLUB OWNERSHIP RIGHT

Former Asante kotoko CEO, Mr. Herbert Mensah dreams of taking over the Chief Executive Officer position of Ash Gold club in relation with the ongoing frictions between the CEO Dr. Kwaku Frimpong and the supporters.

The CEO of Ghana Premier league side, Ash Gold, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong was given the ownership right of the club in 2018 by Anglo gold Ashanti.

The medical practitioner has single handedly financed the club till date.

Before the start of just ended 2020/2021 premier league season, the supporters had some misunderstanding with the CEO for failure to render an apology after using some unfortunate statements on them.

As a results, he didn’t get the full support of the entire obuasi people in the cause of the season.

Moreover, the bank roller has been tagged with match fixing allegations.

According to reports, there has been several meetings held by Anglo gold at Gold house, Accra on possible letting Dr. Kwaku Frimpong step down.

Latest intelligence gathered by Silver fm 98.3 depicts that many business moguls including former Asante kotoko CEO Mr. Herbert Mensah who is also the Administrator and President of the Ghana Rugby Association has expressed his interest in taking over the position as the club’s bank roller.
