Celebrated Ghanaian rapper, Micheal Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie says he sees it as a disrespecting act if he gives you money on camera.
The multiple award winning Rapper has been tagged as a stingy artiste even with his money because he is not seen giving his fans money outside like other artistes.
The ‘Non Living Thing’ hitmaker revealed this with MacG on one of the biggest podcast shows in Africa called “PodcastAndChill” in South Africa.
Sarkodie when asked about why people tag him as a stingy person, he said
“I hate when they have camera on me and I have to give money to people, my meaning of that is I don’t respect you, that’s how I see it as a person, if I have money and I really want to give, there’s a way that I have to do it”.
He also stated that he is not ready to change how he is because of people.
“I’m not ready to change for that because people want that. It doesn’t feel right with me, I’m not going to be forced to give money to fans because camera is on me, I will sit in my car and go”.
The 2 times Black Entertainment Television (BET) award winner made mention in the interview that people, especially Africans love to see people throw money and they love these people even if they have bad Intentions.
