Accra Hearts of Oak this afternoon were on the road in an encounter against Dreams Fc at the theatre of dreams in Dewu.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw. It wasn’t an easy test for the Phobians despite Dreams Fc losing their in form talisman Fatawu Issahaku to Black Stars.
Hearts of Oak on the other hand were missing their first choice goalkeeper who was also selected to represent the country in the next AFCON tournament.
The match was a thrilling encounter as Daniel Afriyie Barnie secured the first goal for the visitors.
Later before half time, Ibrahim Issah equalized for the host after goalkeeper Richard Ayi making a mistake. In the second half, the battle became tougher each and every minute but the hosts once again found the net to take the lead against the Phobians through Ishmael Dede on the 85th minute.
It was never going to be easy for Accra Hearts of Oak as they kept on trying to at least secure a draw after conceding a second goal.
Salim Adams thunderbolt in the dying minutes of the game(90+5)secured a vital one point for the visitors.
This wasn’t the results Hearts of Oak were looking for as they are still finding their way to the top 5 teams on the league table.
Much Preparation is needed for both teams going into their next game. Hearts of Oak will travel to meet Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday, 29th December 2021 as Dreams Fc will visit RTU on 2nd January, 2022 at exactly 3:00pm
