Don’t intimidate our future leaders – Invigilators warned

The Ashanti Regional Former Chairman of Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr Osei Yaw has advised invigilators of the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to stay away from intimidating the candidates.

In an interview with the press on Tuesday, November 16,2021, Mr. Osei disclosed that harsh invigilating can put fear in the students and affect the egos of section of them.

He said this is the beginning of their journey in life and should not sabotaged by anyone. They should free mind to write the exams without fear of intimation from internal officers at the centers adding that they should give them the freedom to do their work without malpractice.

“Some of these candidates are potential leaders in future, I will plead with the invigilators to avoid putting fears in them, candidates must also avoid relying on external source for their exams”, he advised.

Mr. Osei Yaw however appealed to parents to ensure they accurately provide for their wards the needed assistance now and after completion.

“Even after completion , there is the need for parents to cater for their children, these young children should not think Junior High School is the end of their career ,they should focus in life”, he emphasized.
