The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central Constituency, Hon Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey has assured the people of *YEM ZOOYA* a group of traders and onion sellers in Agbogbloshie of Government’s commitment to addressing the challenges confronting them and plans to make their trading activities very sound devoid of any hitches as well as generally developing the area.
The MP together with his Constituency Chairman, Mr Frank Akwasi Debrah and some of his Executives assured the traders present plans to redevelop their sheds and provide a better trading environment for them.
The assurance was given when the team paid a working visit to the area on Sunday 9th February, 2020, during which they interacted with traders and some of the residents of Agbogbloshie and took keen note of their challenges.
The team also used the opportunity to remind the people of the commitment made by the Vice President of the land , Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia last year during his visit to the place on some of the key interventions for the people of Agbogbloshie and Old fadama which includes skills training programme for up to 2,000 Kayayei, construction of four 8-seater Enviro-loo toilets, 80 bath houses, a kindergarten, installation of street lights and digital addresses on homes as well as plans to pave the floor of the markets, especially the yam, plantain and onion markets and address sanitation challenges.
The MP and Constituency Chairman were accompanied by other executives including Hon Yakubu Abane Asoke, Constituency Vice Chairman who doubled as the Assembly Man for Nmemmette Electoral Area as well as the Presiding Member of Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly, Mr. Habib Abubakar, Constituency Secretary, Mr. Ali Zuberu, Constituency Organiser and Mr Isaac Gyasi Anokye who is the Deputy Organiser.
Hon Abane Asoke also pledged the Assemblies’ support to the group and their willingness to attend to their needs and demands.
