President Muhammadu Buhari, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, and Senate President contender Godswill Akpabio are among the luminaries who have thrown their weight behind her campaign. The Road Transport Operators body announced on Monday (15 May) that fares would be reduced by 10% beginning on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. “With the recent price reductions in petroleum products, it became necessary to engage stakeholders to consider a review of the fares in accordance with the administrative instrument.” “Following these negotiations, and in consideration of the plight of drivers, commuters, and the general public, we have resolved to reduce existing transportation fares by 10%,” the organization stated in a statement. The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and the Ghana Road Transport Co-ordinating Council (GRTCC) formed the organisation, which urged all drivers to “comply with the new fares and post same at their loading terminals.” The whole statement is as follows:

Despite having broken the record, Hilda continues her quest to cook for 96 hours, setting a new world record as the first human on the planet to do so. Government officials, celebrities, priests, and other well-meaning Nigerians have continued to show their support for the restaurateur. Despite a torrential downpour in the early hours of Monday, Nigerians stood by her.
