AFCON 2021: Black Stars arrive in Cameroon without Kudus and Baffour

Black Stars arrived in Cameroon on Saturday night ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations without Mohammed Kudus and Philemon Baffour.

According to the GFA, Ghana’s contingent made up of 25 players touched at the Yaoundé Nsimalen Airport at approximately 20:30GMTrday night.

However, Ghana were without key midfielder Kudus and Dreams FC right-back Baffour.

For Kudus, Ajax are reluctant to release him as he recently returned from injury after a month-long absence.

Baffour is reportedly in Portugal where he is on the verge of sealing a transfer to second-tier side Rio Ave FC.

Kudus remains a huge doubt for the tournament while Baffour is expected to fly to Cameroon when his deal is finalised.

Meanwhile, France-based winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, who missed the team’s training camp in Doha, Qatar, has joined the team in Cameroon.
