Nigerian Actress and movie producer ,Ruth kadiri, has sent a word of caution to the Ghanaian media to desist from showing her movies on National Television without following the due processs.
She shared in a recent video, beseeching the Ghanaian media to stop showing her content on TV as they’ve not gone through the necessary procedure required for them to gain the license to Televise her movies.
The actress turned producer expressed her disappointment in one media house in Ghana for screening her films countless times without her permission. Adding that, her lawyers will take the perpetrators through the full rigour of the law if they should repeat the practice.
“I’m very disappointed that a major TV station in Ghana will go on my platform, rip my content apart and show it on TV like they have the license to do that. It’s not even just one, not two, not three. This is the first and last warning. The next time, you’re gonna hear from my lawyers”. She averred in displeasure of the incident.
The multiple award winning actress, who is currently enjoying some good traction on her productions so far, condemned the act while asking the media house to do what is expected of them before broadcasting her movie.
“I beg you, please. Let’s not start dragging ourselves through the mud because I expect so much from you. You all know how expensive it is to create content, and instead of you to buy this content, you rather rip it and show it on national TV”. She sounded disgruntled while admonishing them to stall televising her intellectual property since they’re aware of the enormous cost that goes into content creation.
With over a million subscription on YouTube, Ruth’s production has been able to command some massive viewership on her movies. These movies include; Mannerless, Better half, Crazy bestie, Happiness for two, Within me, Sorrow gate.
