Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey has expressed surprise at being left out of a call-up into the senior national team, the Black Stars.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Radio Station, Angel FM on the Floodlight show, Tekpetey said he saw the Black Stars squad in a WhatsApp group he is a member of, when his friends were debating about it.
” I was surprised I didn’t get the a call up when I saw the squad in a WhatsApp group though God’s time is the best,” he told Angel FM.
The 24-year-old plays for Bulgarian side Ludogorets and has been one of their best players this season; scoring 10 goals and assisting 11 times in 35 games across all competitions
This is an improvement on his first stint in which he scored just two goals for the reigning Bulgarian Champions.
His goals and assists have helped Ludogorets win the league for the second time in a row.
