Renowned Ghanaian rappers, Michael Owusu Addo who is known as Sarkodie, and Kwame Nsia Apau who is known as Okyeame Kwame have visited the overlord of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
They visited him at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi and this comes at a time when the two award-winning musicians are set to perform at the 2022 Memphis in May International Festival.
During the visit, both Sarkodie and Okyeame Kwame stated that they are ever ready to do a special performance for the King who happens to be a guest for this year’s festival.
Organizers of the festival were also present during the visit to the Manhyia Palace and in their submission, they said;
“The Asantehene’s visit to Memphis will highlight some of Ghana’s culture and traditions as part of the Memphis in May International salute to the Republic of Ghana.”
