Fast rising and talented hip hop artiste Yaw Tog reveals he is just a student and Sarkodie is the teacher.
The young sensation within a short period of time has made a name for himself in the Ghana music industry since the release of his hit song “Sore” and the “Sore remix” which featured Stormzy.
One thing music lovers and fanatics know how to do best in Ghana is comparing artistes to each other regardless who you are or who you are being compared to.
After the release of the “Sore remix” that set the record as the only Ghanaian song to reach 1 million views within two days, the comparison started as some people said the youngster is better and hotter than the CEO of Sarkcess Music, Sarkodie.
In an interview with Ike de unpredictable on Angel FM, Yaw Tog shared his view on his comparison to Sarkodie. He said;
“I feel bad, because it doesn’t make me happy. He knows a lot than I do which I can learn from him. He is a teacher and I’m a student, so if you compare me to the teacher, it’s not good”.
He further stated that people should stop comparing him to Sarkodie.
Asked what’s next after completing Senior High School, he said;
“I want to go to Legon because I want to change my environment that’s why I learnt hard during the exams”.
