As Ghana is trying to shape its music industry, with streaming of songs included, the digital platform boomplay has created that opportunity for Ghanaians to stream their artistes’ songs rather than downloading for free.
Reggae dancehall artiste Stonebwoy had been the king of boomplay with him being the most streamed Ghanaian artiste with 28.9 million streams.
Sarkodie has broken and overthrown Stonebwoy as the most streamed artiste of the platform breaking Stonebwoy’s 28.9 million streams with him now having over 29 million streams.
Sarkodie becomes the first Ghanaian artiste with 29 million plus streams on the platform.
