Group of Homeland study Foundation, also known as Western TogoLand has blocked major entries into the volta region.
The action was believed to have happened at Dawn on Friday, September 25, 2020. People Travelling to Tefle, Tsopoli and Juapong have been left stranded.
An article written by Citi News has made us understand that three people have suffered gunshot wounds.
One of the Stranded travellers told Citi News:
“The western TogoLand members have blocked all of the roads in the volta region. We don’t know what is going on because we are unable to go close to them. There are some navy personnel around. we have left our buses to go to sogakope. We do not know what will happen amid the gunshots the people are firing”
The Ghana Police has cautioned travellers to be guided due to what it describes as security operation in some communities in the volta region.
The main reason why they blocked the roads is still unknown.
